Software Engineer

Prophetic is building an AI-native platform for real estate development. The software engineer will build full-stack features across the core platform, working with Python, TypeScript/React, and databases, and will report to the CTO in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Build and ship full-stack features across our core platform using modern backend and frontend frameworks.
• Design and optimize database schemas for geospatial queries across large datasets.
• Write production-quality code that deploys through our CI/CD pipeline.
• Collaborate with product, design, and account management to translate customer needs into shipped features.
• Use AI tooling as part of your daily development workflow.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and on-call rotation.

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python and TypeScript/React, or similar.
• Strong experience with relational databases and RESTful API design.
• Comfort working across the full stack — you can build a backend endpoint and the frontend component that consumes it.
• Experience shipping features in a production environment with CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfort with AI development tooling.
• Strong sense of product ownership.
• Familiarity with a fast-paced startup environment.
