analist cybersecurity / detection engineer SOC

Cybersecurity analist / detection engineer within the Security Operations Center (SOC) of Politie Nederland, responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats on police systems and networks.

• Analyzing incidents and conducting in-depth research into attacks on systems and networks
• Actively searching for potential threats in police networks and systems
• Collaborating with colleagues to analyze incidents and advise on solutions
• Working one to two shifts per week and participating in the on-call roster
• Being part of the incident response team during incidents

• Two to four years of experience with monitoring and resolving incidents, creating and improving detection rules, and working within a SIEM environment
• One or more completed SANS courses (or similar) and willingness to obtain or expand them
• Extensive work experience within the security spectrum of IT systems and applications

• Gross monthly salary between €3,734 and €5,882 (scale 10) based on a 36-hour work week
• Individual Choice Budget (IKB) consisting of 17.86% gross and €515.91 net per year
