Senior Software Engineer

Medendo is the market leader for AI in Dutch Mental Healthcare. They are looking for a Senior Engineer to build and scale the next phase of their workspace, integrating AI into clinical workflows. The role involves building intelligent workflows, scaling for impact, integration with EHRs, and setting engineering standards.

• Build Intelligent Workflows: building the core loops where AI actively unburdens the professional
• Scale for Impact: refactor and expand stack to handle exponential user growth across multiple verticals & countries
• Integration Strategy: write code and design patterns to connect with EHR providers and other tools
• Engineering Standards: set the bar for code quality, security, and CI/CD

• 5+ years in software engineering with deep expertise in Python and modern Frontend frameworks (React)
• Systems Mindset: build systems that are secure, compliant, and scalable
• AI Curiosity: excited to build with AI, familiar with MCP, Agents, AI hallucinations, tokens, context windows, prompt engineering, inference, etc.
• Healthcare awareness: experience with healthcare APIs (FHIR/HL7) and healthcare security standards is a massive plus

• Salary: €80.000 - €110.000 / year (based on experience)
