Team Lead Front End (React) Developer

About the Position

About the role: Our client is a large and innovative educational organization in the United States that is building a next-generation digital learning ecosystem. The product includes a modern learning management system (LMS) and a companion mobile app used by thousands of students, parents, and teachers. The client is now launching a complete rebuild of the system from scratch to improve scalability, performance, user experience, and to expand functionality across web and mobile.

Responsibilities12

• Take responsibility for the team’s direction, delivery results, and overall performance
• Identify risks, blockers, and improvement opportunities early and communicate them proactively
• Present progress clearly at any moment: sprint status, roadmap updates, challenges
• Lead by example during stand-ups, sprint reviews, and planning sessions
• Foster open, active participation from all team members
• Support the team through mentoring, coaching, and constructive code reviews
• Build trust through consistent communication and reliable delivery
• Lead the front-end engineering direction, ensuring high standards of code quality and performance
• Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, modern web interfaces (web, desktop, mobile)
• Ensure scalability, maintainability, and security of the front-end codebase
• Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders
• Maintain and evolve the application using modern JavaScript and React-based tooling

Requirements10

• 7+ years of commercial front-end development experience
• Proven experience as a Team Lead or Senior Front-End Engineer with leadership responsibilities
• Strong expertise in React.js 18 and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS for scalable design systems
• Solid understanding of Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments
• Advanced English (Upper-Intermediate+)
• Experience integrating with .NET Core backends and RESTful APIs (nice to have)
• Knowledge of SQL (SQL Server, MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB, CosmosDB) databases (nice to have)
• Familiarity with Entity Framework (nice to have)
• Previous experience in EdTech or e-learning platforms (nice to have)
