Responsibilities8

• Collaborate with fellow engineers, designers, product managers, and analysts to take an idea from concept to technical design to implementation to testing to measurement
• Drive impact forward, from implementing a new full consumer-facing feature to integrating with a key partner or technology
• Be deeply engaged in the full development lifecycle, designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and improving software
• Investigate, identify, and implement API performance enhancements
• Advocate for new technology and new methodologies
• Learn and expand your capabilities
• Build mobile-focused features to make the app fast, responsive, and flexible
• Deliver net-new features for the most engaged audience

Requirements9

• 7+ years of hands-on Java software design and development experience
• Expert in OOP, ideally in fast paced environments
• Solid experience in the data layer including SQL, caching strategies, and storage alternatives
• Knowledgeable about data structures, algorithms and complexity analysis
• Experienced with web tier technologies and strategies
• Collaborating in cross-functional teams with front-end engineers, Product, and UX
• Familiar with A/B testing and/or performance testing
• Proficient with AWS
• Holding a bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering
