UIO Developer - HTML | CSS | JavaScript

The eCommerce Tech team at Next is looking for experienced front-end developers to join the user interface optimization team, focusing on conversion rate optimization, A/B testing, and experimental feature development using Bloomreach platform.

• Experimental Feature Development: maintaining, developing, publishing and supporting experimental client-side functional features within Bloomreach digital experience platform
• Technical Execution: intercepting and overriding existing features or injecting new features using CSS, HTML and JavaScript, whilst making sure the code is performant
• Continuous Improvement: using best practices to improve the way we work
• Collaboration and Support: providing development support to internal users, offering out-of-hours cover during seasonal events and busy trading periods

• Strong experience of standard front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
• Experience in working effectively in a collaborative manner in a large scale, fast paced environment within a multifunctional technical team
• Experience with Google Analytics
• Exposure to modern Javascript frameworks and libraries such as React
• Awareness and practice of UI performance and accessibility best practices
• A desire to write readable, maintainable, modular and extendable code
• Experience in developing on a responsive site with multiple viewports
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving aptitude
• Understanding of the Agile methodologies and best practices
• Experience working in an Agile team
• Experience with ADO
• Experience with the Bloomreach platform
• Experience with A/B testing
• An understanding of service-oriented architecture
