Senior Ruby Engineer

MAUDAU is a young, ambitious Ukrainian tech company that has made a competitive name for itself in the market. We are looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails engineer to join our Back-end Guild, a community of 20+ engineers who share knowledge and grow together.

• Writing new project functionality and modifying existing code.
• Writing unit tests for services and endpoint tests.
• Mandatory writing of JSON schema for endpoint responses, which generates API documentation.
• Conducting code reviews of pull requests for other backend direction members.
• Developing the architecture of new functionality.
• Planning sprints together with the team.
• Maintaining tasks after release.
• Fixing issues in the code based on priority impact on users.
• Participating in the backend direction life: sharing interesting articles, suggesting improvements in the code base.

• 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails stack.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails 7+.
• Ability to organize background data processing using Sidekiq or alternatives.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of Docker container settings, Github Actions.
• Experience with ElasticSearch.
