About the Position

The position requires serving in one of the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The team is looking for a qualified DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining a resilient IT infrastructure, automating CI/CD processes, and ensuring a high level of cybersecurity for servers and services.

Responsibilities12

• Designing and managing infrastructure based on Linux and Kubernetes clusters
• Implementing and maintaining an Infrastructure as Code approach
• Developing and implementing automation scripts using Ansible
• Designing, implementing, and supporting CI/CD pipelines for development teams
• Ensuring infrastructure security: access, monitoring, incident response
• Administering and optimizing MariaDB and PostgreSQL databases
• Configuring Nginx, proxy servers, and protecting resources using Cloudflare
• Implementing and maintaining HashiCorp Vault for secure secret storage
• Ensuring server configurations comply with security policies and implementing Hardening principles
• Automating deployment, update, and scaling processes for services
• Participating in planning technical solutions, increasing reliability and availability of systems
• Collaborating closely with developers and other technical teams

Requirements8

• Experience as a DevOps Engineer (or a related role) of at least 2 years
• Deep knowledge of Linux, experience with Docker and orchestration in Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Ansible and experience building CI/CD in GitLab CI
• Experience with databases (MariaDB, Postgres) and web servers (Nginx)
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault
• Knowledge of Python/Bash for automating routine tasks
• Understanding of information security principles
• Having military officer rank (especially obtained at a military department of a civilian university) will be an advantage
