Junior Data Engineer (DFC)

As a Data Engineer, you convert complex data into sharp insights impacting the KYC Center. You combine data sources and build predictions that truly support the business using your skills in Python and SQL.

• Analyze complex datasets and combine data from various sources to derive valuable insights for the business.
• Work according to the Agile framework in two-week sprints under the guidance of a Product Owner.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and internal stakeholders to realize wishes and functionalities.
• Build a product that demonstrably meets customer requirements.
• Ensure that tickets are well refined and clearly formulated.
• Deliver the work that is included in the sprint backlog.
• Communicate transparently about (possible) impediments, whether technical, functional, or relational.

• A minimum of WO working and thinking level and relevant experience as a data engineer or (back-end) developer, e.g., through an internship, side job, minor, or concrete work experience after your studies.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Strong communication skills, proactive collaboration, and being a real team player.
• Fluency in Dutch, both spoken and written; this is a hard requirement.
• Analytical thinking, quick to make connections, and able to form sharp judgments independently.
• Preferable: experience with Power BI, Agile/Scrum (SAFe), and affinity for KYC.
