Senior Front-end Software Engineer (React.js)

Senior Front-End Engineer role at Avenga working on a cloud-based platform for restaurant technology. The role involves building modern web applications using React and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable React applications used by millions of end users
• Build clean, maintainable, and well-tested front-end solutions
• Develop and maintain customer-facing APIs and SDKs
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to deliver new features
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Take ownership of features throughout the entire development lifecycle
• Participate in an L2 support rotation (approximately once every 8–9 weeks)
• Communicate technical decisions clearly and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Continuously improve application performance, maintainability, and user experience

• 5+ years of commercial experience in Front-End development
• Strong hands-on experience with React (must-have)
• Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS/SCSS
• Experience with Node.js, NPM, Vite, Git, and CI/CD principles
• Experience with front-end state management solutions
• Experience building and maintaining client-facing APIs and SDKs
• Experience writing automated tests (unit, component, integration, and end-to-end)
• Solid understanding of front-end architecture, design patterns, and application structure
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• English — Upper-Intermediate or higher
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Next.js
• Nice-to-have: Experience building or maintaining component libraries and design systems
• Nice-to-have: Experience collaborating closely with UX/UI teams
