Senior Java Developer (Bucharest)

Join Luxoft's Development Center in Bucharest as a Senior Java Developer to design, build, and optimize high-performance backend systems for a world-famous fintech client. You will work with modern Java frameworks, microservices, and cloud-native applications in an Agile environment.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend Java/Spring Boot microservices and full‑stack applications using ReactJS or Angular
• Produce clean, secure, and efficient code aligned with engineering standards
• Contribute across all stages of the product lifecycle in collaboration with cross‑functional engineering teams
• Work within an Agile, CI/CD‑driven environment and improve development workflows
• Apply architectural concepts to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available solutions
• Write unit, integration, and automated tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipeline
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical decision‑making
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices
• Work with business analysts, users, and UI/UX designers to build effective solutions

• 5+ years of development experience in a senior engineering role
• Backend: strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data
• Frontend: practical experience with React or Angular
• Microservices: hands-on experience designing and implementing microservice-based architectures
• Cloud: familiarity with GCP
• Databases: solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, BigQuery)
• CI/CD: experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins
• Containers: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to share knowledge, coach others
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment
• Proficiency in spoken and written English (B2)
