Mid Software Engineer

You'll be joining Bauer Media Audio's new in-house software development hub in Manchester to build the next generation Audio Platform. As a Software Engineer, you'll contribute to building features and services across the platform, working with Node/TypeScript, React, Java, and AWS.

• Develop and maintain features and services across the platform
• Contribute to prototyping and early-stage feature work
• Participate in code review, contributing and receiving feedback constructively, and support junior engineers
• Collaborate with product and technology teams
• Apply DevOps practices and contribute to CI/CD, automation, and observability
• Write and maintain tests (unit, integration) and apply security best practices
• Participate in incident management
• Support recruitment and onboarding

• Solid engineering experience, ability to work independently on features across client and server layers
• Flexibility to move across front-end and back-end technologies
• Experience with Node/TypeScript, React, Java, AWS (or comparable)
• Knowledge of microservices, APIs, and cloud deployment
• Experience with CI/CD and containerisation
• Security best practices knowledge
• Good problem-solving, debugging, communication skills
