Senior Software Engineer (Full-stack Web)

EBS, part of Alarm.com, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full-stack Web) for the Customer Experience team. The role involves building full-stack features for customer-facing applications, working with React, Ember, C#, and microservices. The team is based in Krakow, Poland, with on-site work and occasional remote flexibility.

• Design, implement, and maintain high-quality full-stack features (both frontend and backend services).
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver customer-facing features that scale globally.
• Translate complex requirements into efficient, maintainable, and reliable code while considering performance and security.
• Develop features in both frontend (React, Ember, etc.) and backend services (C#, Web APIs, microservices, etc.) and latest evolving technologies.
• Write unit and integration tests, work with QA to validate features, and monitor production performance.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies and bring new ideas to the team.
• Participate in code reviews, share expertise with peers, and contribute to team documentation.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• A. or B.S. in Computer Science or similar engineering program.
• English proficiency.
• Strong hands-on experience building Full-stack Web Applications (JavaScript, TypeScript, a library/framework like React, CSS, HTML).
• Solid hands-on backend, OOP development experience (e.g. C# or similar, Web API development).
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar).
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Passion for delivering customer-facing applications that are performant, reliable, and intuitive.
• Exposure to, and strong fundamentals, on JS Frameworks/libraries like React and/or Ember.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, Kafka, or microservices.
• Experience with automated testing Web and backend services.
