Senior Software Engineer

Nucs AI is revolutionizing cancer care through AI and medical imaging technology. The Senior Software Engineer will build scalable microservices, event-driven systems, and modern React frontends for clinical workflows, directly impacting patient care.

• Design and implement robust distributed systems that power our AI diagnostic tools
• Architect services that handle sensitive medical data reliably, scale gracefully under load, and integrate seamlessly with hospital infrastructure
• Build scalable microservices architectures using Kubernetes for orchestration and deployment
• Build event-driven systems with RabbitMQ for reliable asynchronous processing of medical data
• Build robust FastAPI backends that process and serve medical imaging data at scale
• Build production-grade CI/CD pipelines with comprehensive testing, monitoring, and rollback capabilities
• Build scalable data architectures using SQL databases with smart indexing and caching strategies
• Build monitoring, logging, and alerting systems that ensure reliability in clinical environments
• Build seamless integrations between internal services and external healthcare systems (HL7, FHIR)
• Build modern React frontends for clinical workflows and data management

• 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience with shipped products that real users depend on
• Strong system design skills with experience architecting distributed systems and microservices
• DevOps expertise with Kubernetes, containerization, CI/CD, and Google Cloud Platform
• Backend proficiency in Python with Flask or FastAPI for building reliable APIs and services
• Database expertise in SQL and relational data modeling for handling complex medical data
• Experience with message queues and event-driven architecture patterns
• Clear communication skills and a pragmatic approach to solving complex technical problems
• Frontend competency in TypeScript and React
• CEFR Level C1 or C2 certification in English, or equivalent demonstrable mastery of the language
• Strong academic background with a degree from a highly-ranked university
