Senior Software Engineer Analytics – 's-Gravenhage

The position is for a Senior Software Engineer Analytics at the municipality of The Hague, focusing on building a high-quality development environment for R and Python projects, with responsibilities including CI/CD, testing automation, and software engineering best practices.

• Optimally deploying and further professionalizing existing development tooling for R and Python projects
• Developing generic libraries, utilities, and reusable components for multiple projects
• Designing and implementing automated test strategies including unit tests, integration tests, regression tests, and automated model validations
• Setting up and improving CI/CD processes for analytical applications
• Implementing software engineering best practices such as version control, code reviews, package management, dependency management, release management, and quality controls
• Standardizing project structures, development guidelines, and software components for reusability and scalability
• Automating quality controls and validation processes within the development pipeline
• Contributing to a robust, maintainable, and reproducible lifecycle of analytical models
• Advising colleagues on modern software engineering, DevOps, and MLOps principles within analytics

• Proven experience with version control and collaborative software development
• Package and dependency management
• Software testing and test automation
• Build, release, and deployment processes
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
• Software quality, code reviews, and coding standards
• Automation of development processes
• Lifecycle management of software and analytical applications
• Experience with analytics engineering, data science, or MLOps is a strong plus

• Salary: €1,800 to €3,000 per month
• Part-time contract
