UI Developer

Barclays seeks a UI Developer to join the CDD technology team, focusing on building and maintaining the customer due diligence platform with React.js and modern front-end technologies.

• End-to-end development and delivery of high-quality software solutions, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance
• Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams to define requirements, design solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices in code quality and knowledge sharing
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, contributing to the organization's technical community
• Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data
• Implement thorough unit testing and validation procedures to ensure reliability and robustness
• Support operational excellence by monitoring application performance, optimizing user experience, and ensuring compliance with accessibility and cross-browser standards
• Contribute to ongoing enhancement of the platform by identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement

• Proven experience in front-end development, particularly with React.js
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and HTML5
• Solid understanding of React Hooks, component lifecycle, and state management frameworks such as Redux or Context API
• Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with backend services
• Familiarity with Micro Frontend Architecture
• Good grasp of responsive UI design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, ELK stack, and App Dynamics
• Experience working on scalable, high-performance applications
