Staff Software Engineer ($200K - $250K + Equity) at Truewind

Truewind is a YC W23-backed startup building AI-native accounting software to modernize the financial back office. They are hiring a Staff Software Engineer to architect and build the future of AI-powered financial workflows, working directly with the founders in San Francisco.

• Architect and develop complex software solutions that leverage LLMs and vector databases to automate traditional bookkeeping and finance processes.
• Collaborate directly with founders to define the product vision, strategy, and technical roadmap while managing infrastructure for distributed, data-intensive systems.
• Lead and mentor a growing team of engineers and data scientists, establishing the technical standards and practices required for world-class product delivery.

• At least 11 years of professional experience building production web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience with frameworks like Next.js, Nest.js, or Express
• Deep expertise in architecting data-intensive distributed systems
• Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL to handle mission-critical financial data
• Strong background in early-stage startups or founder experience
• Preference for building LLM applications using OpenAI APIs
