Senior QA Engineer

Focal Systems is the industry leader in retail AI solutions, seeking a Senior QA Engineer to help automate and optimize brick and mortar retail using deep learning computer vision. The role involves working closely with engineers, product managers, and data teams to improve product quality through testing and automation.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Collaborate with developers to understand product features and create test plans
• Perform API and backend testing to ensure reliability and performance of services
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to test automation framework improvements
• Help improve quality engineering processes and best practices across the team

• 3+ years of experience in QA engineering with a focus on test automation
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (preferred)
• Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, or TestNG
• Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or REST Assured
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing
