About the Position
Quod Financial is launching Project Qanvas to build a next-generation, AI-native Unified UI for trading ecosystems. The role involves migrating a legacy .NET Institutional Trading UI into a modern Angular web platform, with agentic engineering workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design and drive the technical architecture of the Unified Qanvas platform using Angular 22 (Standalone, Signals, OnPush architecture) and Node/Express
- Lead the architectural transition of a highly complex, decade-old Institutional Trading UI from .NET to a modern web-based framework
- Own the frontend performance guardrails, ensuring the UI handles extreme live data feeds and scales to 500k+ active orders/trades
- Architect robust mechanisms for quick startup/recovery, advanced disconnect management, and optimized low-bandwidth performance
- Integrate with and optimize our agentic engineering workflow alongside AI development agents
- Define strict lint gates and automated testing protocols, ensuring comprehensive Vitest unit specs and Playwright E2E specs
Requirements
- Deep, production-proven expertise in modern Angular, including advanced knowledge of Standalone components, Signals, and OnPush change detection
- Strong background in developing mission-critical, high-throughput financial frontends (e.g., FX Market Making, Equities, Desk Trading workflows)
- Deep understanding of web performance optimization, dealing with massive data streams (WebSockets), change-detection tuning, and rendering optimizations
- Proficient with modern testing frameworks like Vitest and Playwright, specifically around visual regression and performance benchmarking
- Solid experience working with full REST APIs and Node.js/Express for backend/BFF orchestration
- Ability to establish strict architectural guardrails, automated code review standards, and mentor both human developers and AI integration protocols
