About the Position

The FC Bayern München is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to develop and maintain backend frameworks in the IT department. The role involves consulting, designing APIs, and ensuring system stability.

Responsibilities

  • Competent consulting of departments and development teams for further development of applications focusing on architecture and frameworks
  • Further development of the backend framework based on modern Java technologies (Spring ecosystem, Quarkus) and establishment of standards and best practices
  • Design, implementation, and operation of central components like API gateway, security, logging, and monitoring frameworks
  • End-to-end responsibility from requirement to stable operation on Kubernetes platform
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting backend components to ensure high availability of digital touchpoints

Requirements

  • Completed degree in (business) informatics or training as IT specialist (or equivalent qualification)
  • Very good knowledge of Java and modern backend frameworks (e.g., Spring, Quarkus)
  • Experience in designing and operating REST/HTTP APIs and ideally API gateways
  • Practical experience with enterprise technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Maven, SQL, JUnit, Git)
  • Experience with Linux in the context of CI/CD is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of software architectures
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize
  • Pronounced sports affinity, team skills, and responsibility
  • High degree of independence, initiative, quality awareness, and resilience
  • Good German language skills in writing and speaking
