Principal DevSecOps Engineer (m/w/d) Agentic AI & Integration Kompositversicherung

R+V, one of Germany's largest insurers, is seeking a Principal DevSecOps Engineer to develop, integrate, and operate AI components, LLM-based functions, and agent-based workflows on their AI platforms. The role involves technical leadership, DevSecOps governance, and enabling teams for secure, efficient AI integration.

• Develop, integrate, and operate new AI components, LLM-based functions, and agent-based workflows on the R+V AI platforms.
• Integrate AI and LLM functions via API, REST, and MCP interfaces into applications and services.
• Assume responsibility for model selection, evaluation, quality assurance, monitoring, documentation, and code reviews for complex AI solutions.
• Develop and operationalize technical guidelines, DevSecOps, and AI governance guidelines in collaboration with central units.
• Support and enable development teams through technical consulting, reviews, workshops, training, and practical guidelines.
• Act as a technical thought leader and expert contact for Agentic AI and AI integration, bringing market trends into communities and guilds.
• Lead DevSecOps engineers to ensure Agentic AI is used securely, efficiently, and beneficially in composite applications.

• Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, engineering, or equivalent qualification through IT training and relevant professional experience.
• Several years of in-depth experience in software development with Python; additional knowledge of Java and modern frameworks is desirable.
• Very good understanding of CI/CD, GitLab, DevSecOps architectures, and complex software lifecycle processes in agile structures (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
• Solid practical experience in building, integrating, and operating AI, LLM, or Agentic AI solutions including API, REST, and MCP integrations.
• Deep knowledge of Agentic AI and use of AI in the software development process from requirements to code review and maintenance.
• Extensive experience in public cloud environment, ideally with Azure, and with platform/integration components like Azure AI, Synapse, Kafka or comparable technologies.
• Strength in technical leadership, consulting, and enabling multiple teams or ARTs.
• Very good German skills (C1); good English skills are desirable.
