Full Stack Engineer (Laravel/ React)

Workwize helps IT teams equip remote and global teams with IT equipment via an automated SaaS platform. They are looking for a Laravel-focused full-stack engineer to join their product team in Amsterdam.

• Working on both front-end and back-end development
• Making architectural decisions to bring the platform to the next level
• Building best-in-class product experiences for customers
• Creating and designing reusable APIs and components
• Mentoring and supporting the professional growth of fellow engineers
• Leading technical projects and coordinating teams of 3+ engineers

• At least a Bachelor with background in tech or equivalent based on work experience
• 6+ years work experience with Laravel and React frameworks
• Experience building applications with JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, HTML5, CSS and MySQL 8
• Experience mentoring and supporting the professional growth of fellow engineers
• Experience working with large development teams
• Clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Strong track record of leading technical projects and coordinating teams of 3+ engineer
• Passionate about usability, user experience, beauty and elegance of UI's
• Eager to learn, discuss and share knowledge with the rest of the teams
• Nice to have: knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and other tools used in DevOps
• Absolute fan of TDD and CI/CD pipelines
• Background in product-based companies with multiple product and engineering teams
• Proven track record of driving engineering initiatives that impacted other teams or the wider organization
• Fluent in business English, both written and verbal
• Critical thinking and initiative: Hands-on, nothing-is-impossible mindset
• Enjoy working with teams with multidisciplinary backgrounds
• Experience working in dynamic environments, such as a startup or scaleup environment
