Senior Software Engineer, Reap Direct - Europe

Reap is a global fintech company building stablecoin-enabled financial products. The Reap Direct team owns full-stack web and mobile platforms for corporate cards, payments, and expense management. This senior-level role involves end-to-end development of customer-facing interfaces and backend services.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams — product managers, designers, and fellow engineers — to drive product development from concept to deployment.
• Build full-stack applications that meet the highest quality standards in the fintech industry.
• Lead by example and raise the bar for engineering practices and quality.
• Keep our tech stack modern and competitive by staying current with industry trends and technologies.
• Improve the reliability and stability of production products with a large user base, ensuring uninterrupted service.
• Support the team's growth by helping with resume screening and conducting interviews.

• 6+ years of software engineering experience for senior candidates (strong mid-level engineers with 3+ years also considered).
• Full-stack engineering: Strong across the React ecosystem (state management, component frameworks) on the front end, and TypeScript/NestJS services and APIs on the back end, deployed to cloud infrastructure.
• Deliver maintainable, well-tested, production-ready architecture and code.
• Care deeply about correctness, edge cases, and failure modes.
• Strong applied database skills — designing schemas, writing/optimizing queries, managing migrations, and reasoning about performance with an ORM (e.g. Prisma) against PostgreSQL/Aurora.
• Balance technical depth with product understanding and apply sound judgment when making tradeoffs.
• Seek feedback, learn from others, and help raise the bar across the engineering team.
• Work collaboratively on a team, write clear code, and participate in peer reviews.
