Head of Engineering - Software vendor (Business applications)

Ardex Technology is hiring a Head of Engineering reporting to the CEO, responsible for both a mature Azure-hosted legacy platform and a new AWS platform (EPONA) with SaaS and mobile products, leading a team of 10-15 engineers.

• Set strategy and make architectural calls across legacy and next-gen platforms
• Write specs, review PRs, pair on hard problems, and ship code
• Lead a team of 10-15 engineers, including remote members
• Own security, reliability, production support, delivery standards, and documentation
• Work with product and commercial teams to convert business goals into technical roadmap

• Proven engineering leadership – led a team, accountable for people and technical outcomes
• End-to-end modernisation and architecture judgement – led platform modernisation or cloud migration
• Hands-on polyglot engineering – deep in at least one core language, able to pick up and ship in others
• Credible across the stack: C#, VB.Net, MSSQL, Go, Vue, React Native, PostgreSQL
• Practical experience with AI tooling to accelerate engineering work
• Clear communicator – explains trade-offs to CEO, commercial teams, or engineers
