About the Position

We are looking for a junior engineer with strong interest in Kubernetes, containers and developer tooling who will grow into owning platform features and operations in close collaboration with senior engineers. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Kubernetes workloads and containerized development workspaces for Ericsson product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to design, implementation and maintenance of CloudStudio Kubernetes workloads (manifests, deployments, services, ingress, configuration) in our internal clusters.
  • Develop, configure and maintain containerized development workspaces (Docker images, dev containers, VS Code/CodeOSS based environments) tailored to Ericsson product teams’ needs.
  • Implement and refine infrastructure as code and configuration (YAML, Helm charts, pipelines) for CloudStudio platform components and services.
  • Support logging, observability and reliability for CloudStudio services, including integration with centralized logging (CLaaS), quotas and related platform services.
  • Participate in backlog refinement and implementation of new CloudStudio capabilities and compliance work (e.g. SSDF related requirements) in collaboration with senior engineers and design owners.
  • Investigate and resolve issues in development workspaces (networking, storage, workspace lifecycle, tooling integration) together with CloudStudio users and supporting teams.
  • Contribute to documentation, operational playbooks and onboarding material for new CloudStudio users and services.
  • Collaborate closely with other Developer Services teams (e.g. eStudio, EVSX, IDP/DaaS) to ensure CloudStudio fits into the broader BNEW Service Eco System and platform engineering ecosystem.
  • Actively learn from senior engineers and participate in code reviews, design discussions and improvement initiatives around developer experience, security and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Basic hands on experience with Kubernetes concepts (pods, deployments, services, namespaces) and working with manifests.
  • Containerization (Docker or similar), building and running container images.
  • TypeScript/JavaScript and/or another modern programming language used in tooling and service development (e.g. Python or Go).
  • YAML based configuration (Kubernetes manifests, CI/CD pipelines, dev container configs).
  • Familiarity with Linux development environments and command line tooling.
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and how developers use build, test and deployment pipelines.
  • Good problem solving skills, with a practical mindset for debugging platform and environment issues.
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow in platform/DevOps engineering, developer experience and security practices.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in an international, distributed team.
  • Experience with Kubernetes in production or pre production environments (cluster usage, resource management, troubleshooting).
  • Dev container setups (VS Code devcontainers, CodeOSS based solutions) and remote development environments.
  • Observability stacks (OpenSearch/ELK, Prometheus, Grafana) and centralized logging solutions (e.g. CLaaS) in Ericsson environments.
  • Security and compliance aspects of developer platforms, including SSDF related work.
  • Knowledge of Ericsson internal infrastructure and tools (E2C, CLaaS, Hydra, cost groups) is an advantage.
  • Prior experience contributing to inner source or open source projects.

Benefits

  • Annual bonus depending on the achievement of the company's goals and results.
  • Financial awards and distinctions.
  • Private medical care for employee and their family (Medicover).
  • Life insurance; Mental Help Line Cafeteria system.
  • Pluxee platform: co-financing MultiSport or OK System card, lunch cards, and others.
  • Sports and integration activities (e.g. Football, Joga, raising team, climbing club).
  • Possibility to participate in 4G / 5G... 6G technology projects.
  • Opportunity to participate in technical and interpersonal training conducted by international trainers.
  • Access to recognized learning platforms (Pluralsight, Skillsoft, Coursera).
  • Opportunity to work in an international environment, also outside Poland
