CARDNEXUS: FOUNDING ENGINEER

CardNexus is building a platform for the TCG community. As Founding Engineer, you will architect scalable backend systems, develop core features like real-time scanning and trade matching, and optimize infrastructure. This is a fully remote role with a competitive salary and equity.

• Architect a Scalable Backend: Design robust, high-performance systems for our marketplace, supporting complex user interactions.
• Develop Core Features: Lead the implementation of features like real-time card scanning, inventory management, and trade matching.
• Optimize Infrastructure: Build systems for logging, monitoring, and scaling in a high-traffic environment.
• Secure the Platform: Implement KYC and security measures to protect user data and enable safe transactions.
• Integrate CI/CD Pipelines: Streamline deployment and testing processes to support a rapid development cycle.
• Contribute Broadly: Be a hands-on contributor across the backend stack, leveraging your expertise in databases, cloud, and infrastructure to deliver high-quality results.

• Proven experience in architecting and delivering complex backend systems
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and database management (relational and NoSQL)
• Comfort across cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP), logging and monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, and performance optimization
• Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver end-to-end solutions with minimal oversight
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
