Data Integration Engineer

Conference Compass is seeking a skilled and inspired Data Developer & API Backend Specialist to join their enthusiastic international team. You will help shape the next generation of event technologies that power customizable mobile and web applications for events.

• Build and maintain integrations with various client APIs, file feeds, and external data sources.
• Develop parsing, transformation, and validation logic to map incoming client data into the Floq platform formats.
• Design and implement scalable data processing pipelines that handle large event data volumes.
• Help shape and build the next-generation import suite, designed to be more automated and AI-friendly.
• Collaborate with client-facing teams to onboard new data sources quickly and robustly.
• Write and maintain backend code primarily in TypeScript and Python.

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python for backend development.
• Strong understanding of API design and integration (e.g., REST, WebSockets).
• Experience building and managing data processing pipelines from heterogeneous sources (APIs, CSV/JSON/XML files).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, including serverless services (e.g., AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3).
• Interest in AI-assisted tooling and exploring LLMs for data integration efficiency.
• Solid debugging and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn new tools and solve complex problems.
• Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
