Full Stack Engeneer

RecSkills is hiring Fullstack Engineers to own features end-to-end, from architecture to deployment. The role requires experience in both frontend (React, TypeScript) and backend (Ruby on Rails), with cloud and CI/CD experience. Full-time, hybrid in San Francisco.

• Architect, develop, and deploy fullstack solutions
• Collaborate with the team to define and deliver product requirements
• Own projects from 0→1, ensuring scalability, security, and performance
• Maintain high-quality, maintainable code across frontend and backend
• Contribute to system design and cloud infrastructure

• CS degree from a top-tier or elite school OR 5+ years software engineering experience at a top startup/tech company OR strong GitHub portfolio with meaningful contributions
• Junior candidates: self-starter with demonstrable projects and code
• Senior candidates: experience leading complex projects, with clear career progression (Engineer → Senior → Lead/Architect)
• Backend: willing to work with Ruby on Rails (prior experience strongly preferred)
• Frontend: React and TypeScript required
• CI/CD and cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes)
• Ruby on Rails experience (preferred)
• Early-stage startup experience (preferred)
• Strong GitHub presence (preferred)
• Experience designing or owning system architecture in a 0→1 environment (preferred)

• Base salary $150,000 – $250,000
