SENIOR JAVA ENGINEER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer for a full-time position in Ukraine. The client is a major environmental services company in North America. The role involves designing and implementing software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Kotlin, with frontend development using React or Svelte.

• Work with a team of developers to design and implement software solutions in Java, Spring Boot, and Kotlin, ensuring alignment with best practices and coding standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate project requirements into technical specifications and architecture designs that meet business needs.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies, identify areas for improvement, implement solutions, and enhance product quality.
• Oversee code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement performance optimizations to ensure robust, maintainable solutions.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the team, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.

• 7+ years of experience as a Java developer, specializing in Spring Boot within Agile environments.
• Knowledge of Kotlin and a solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Recent experience with frontend development, preferably using React or Svelte framework.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, combined with the ability to communicate effectively and work well with diverse teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud platform and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
