About the Position
Levi9 Ukraine is looking for a Medior+ DevOps engineer to join a team developing a digital advertising platform for a major media group in Belgium and the Netherlands. The role involves designing and maintaining AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and applying security best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure and solutions on AWS
- Develop and improve the release process (automation, versioning, rollback strategies, reduced lead time)
- Integrate and maintain CI/CD tools and pipeline
- Apply security best practices across infrastructure, pipelines, and deployments
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and contribute to post-incident improvements
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and other teams, and document processes and solutions
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on DevOps / SRE / infrastructure experience
- AWS: practical experience with core services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch), plus ECS/EKS or Lambda
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation/CDK
- CI/CD: experience building and maintaining pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline
- Release management: understanding of deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling)
- Containers: Docker and a working knowledge of orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS)
- Scripting: Bash and Python (or another scripting language)
- Linux: administration and troubleshooting skills
- Security practices: least-privilege IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and secure pipeline configuration
- Experience with Git and version control best practices: branching/versioning strategies, pull/merge request workflows
- Communication: ability to explain technical topics clearly, work in a team, and take ownership of tasks
- Monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)
- Security tooling in pipelines (SonarQube, Trivy, Snyk, SAST/DAST)
- Experience with cost optimization (FinOps) on AWS
- AWS certification
