DevOps Tech Lead (Azure)

INSART is looking for a DevOps Tech Lead to take ownership of the company's infrastructure practice, combining technical leadership, team management, and hands-on expertise. The role involves coordinating DevOps/SRE activities, driving infrastructure modernization, and ensuring reliable delivery across environments.

• Lead and coordinate DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure activities and teams across multiple products and environments.
• Organize and prioritize the team’s work, ensuring clear ownership, effective collaboration, and timely delivery.
• Work closely with the CTO and engineering leads to define priorities, make infrastructure decisions, and drive initiatives to completion.
• Build and improve DevOps processes, team practices, documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-sharing.
• Take ownership of the company’s Azure infrastructure, its reliability, security, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Drive infrastructure modernization, automation, and technical debt reduction.
• Coordinate improvements across CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, observability, security, and incident response.
• Provide technical guidance and challenge infrastructure decisions when needed, helping the team make effective technical choices.
• Support and develop DevOps/SRE engineers, promote knowledge sharing, and help build a sustainable infrastructure practice.
• Identify infrastructure risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities and turn them into actionable initiatives.
• Balance business priorities, technical risks, infrastructure costs, and team capacity when making decisions.
• Remain hands-on when required, stepping into technical tasks or complex infrastructure issues when the situation calls for it.
• Take ownership of infrastructure-related problems from identification through implementation and ensure that agreed solutions are actually delivered.

• 5+ years of experience in technical/team management, combined with a strong background in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience managing or coordinating DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Solid experience with CI/CD, preferably GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with monitoring and observability, such as Grafana or similar tools.
• Experience with infrastructure security, secrets management, and access control.
• Experience working with multi-tenant SaaS environments.
• Experience with infrastructure modernization, technical debt reduction, automation, and process optimization.
• Ability to understand complex technical issues, challenge technical decisions, and provide practical guidance to engineers.
• Ability and willingness to remain hands-on when necessary, despite the management-focused nature of the role.
• Strong experience building or improving technical processes and team practices, especially in environments where processes need to be established or significantly improved.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to work directly with CTO-level stakeholders and engineering leadership.
• Strong ownership, accountability, proactive problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to explain technical trade-offs in terms of cost, risk, priorities, and business impact.
