Senior Software Engineer - UI

Overland AI is transforming land operations for modern defense, building the OverDrive autonomy stack for autonomous ground vehicles. This Senior Software Engineer - UI role focuses on developing a mission-critical command-and-control (C2) interface, combining hands-on frontend development with React and TypeScript.

• Develop a cutting-edge command-and-control (C2) interface for autonomous ground vehicles.
• Remain hands-on in the codebase, contributing to core UI features, architectural components, and critical bug fixes.
• Partner closely with UX designers to translate design systems into high-quality, production-ready implementations.
• Collaborate with product managers to shape requirements and break work into clear, deliverable milestones.
• Get into the field to observe real users operating the system in training and operational environments, rapidly iterating and experimenting based on end-user needs.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline and 3+ years relevant professional experience; OR 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with different frontend development languages and frameworks.
• Familiarity integrating with a variety of backend APIs.
• Experience working with multiple communication protocols; prior experience with MQTT is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with ATAK/TAK is strongly preferred

• The salary range for this position is $180K to $230K annually
