Java Developer

Sopra Steria seeks Java developers to provide tailored software solutions to large organizations and semi-governments. Candidates will work on varied projects including rewriting applications in modern frameworks like React or Vue and implementing CI/CD pipelines.

• Rewrite existing frontend applications using modern frameworks like React or Vue
• Implement design systems in collaboration with UX/UI designers
• Optimize performance and accessibility according to the latest web standards
• Set up CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Integrate with backend APIs and design efficient state management solutions
• Develop or extend automated tests and testing strategies
• Discuss and implement security best practices in frontend codebase

• Minimum 3 years of work experience as a Java Software Developer
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular
• Strong in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience with state management libraries like Redux, Vuex, or MobX
• Knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or Testing Library
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and the deployment process
• Experience working in an agile scrum environment
• Experience with DevOps principles
• Ability to convey knowledge and experience to team members and junior developers
• Enthusiastic about user experience and accessibility (a11y)
• Positive mindset and solution-oriented attitude
• Ability to collaborate effectively with UX/UI designers and backend developers
• Knowledge of a backend programming language such as Python or Node.js is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant equivalent
• Possession of a Dutch passport and residing in the Netherlands
• At least Dutch at B-2 level or native language

• Fixed contract and salary between € 3.000- and € 5.500- gross per month
