About the Position

Ruby Labs is a leading tech company that creates and operates innovative consumer products. We're building and scaling a high-growth D2C product and need a UX leader to drive UX strategy and growth impact.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of UX, design quality, and user journeys across the product.
  • Turn UX into a measurable growth lever.
  • Work closely with Product and Growth to design and optimize funnels, onboarding, paywalls, and retention loops.
  • Audit and continuously improve the end-to-end user journey.
  • Analyze product analytics independently.
  • Connect UX decisions directly to business metrics.
  • Define hypotheses, experiments, and success metrics for every UX initiative.
  • Use session recordings and behavioral data to identify friction points.
  • Proactively request and define new analytics instrumentation with the data team.
  • Validate UX changes through A/B testing.
  • Define, enforce, and evolve a clear, scalable design system.
  • Lead and direct designers and frontend engineers involved in UI/UX work.
  • Set the visual and interaction quality bar across the product.
  • Establish a structured research practice.
  • Translate raw research into prioritized product decisions.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years in UX, Product Design, or design leadership.
  • Strong design background with a portfolio of conversion-oriented work.
  • Experience in fast-paced growth-oriented environments.
  • Deep experience with Mixpanel, GA4, Amplitude or similar product analytics tools.
  • Proven ability to collect both qualitative and quantitative user insights.
  • Experience designing and running A/B tests end-to-end.
  • Strong understanding of conversion funnels and retention loops.
  • Ability to define and maintain a consistent design system.
