Front End Engineer - Mid Level

Cedar is dedicated to transforming homeownership through technology and data-driven models. As a Mid-Level Front-End Engineer, you will build and own the consumer-facing web application using React, TypeScript, and Next.js, collaborating with design and product teams to deliver user-friendly UI screens.

• Build and own the consumer-facing web application utilizing React, TypeScript, and Next.js
• Leverage AI tooling to facilitate rapid development and contribute to its ongoing improvement
• Validate assumptions through rigorous testing and outcome-based judgment of work
• Translate complex financial logic into clear, trustworthy, and user-friendly UI screens
• Collaborate closely with design and product teams from initial concept through to deployment
• Take ownership of features from development to release, monitor usage, and iterate for enhancement
• Maintain high standards for code quality, conduct thorough code reviews, and troubleshoot bugs at their root cause
• Participate in daily stand-ups, planning, and review sessions to ensure alignment and continuous improvement

• Approximately 3+ years of experience building production web applications with React and TypeScript
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS, with a strong focus on responsive design for mobile and desktop
• Experience working with APIs, including REST and GraphQL
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools integrated into development workflows
• Interest in and enthusiasm for AI tooling and its application in software development
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
