Frontend Designer

Ruby Labs is a leading tech company creating innovative consumer products. We're seeking a Frontend Designer with strong design instincts and frontend skills to lead and implement our design system, directly collaborating with code to produce high-quality UI for our product.

• Own, structure, and evolve the design system
• Set the visual quality bar across the product
• Translate brand and product strategy into a coherent design language
• Continuously audit the product for visual inconsistencies
• Design web interfaces directly in code
• Apply structured design principles to deliver clean interfaces
• Ship UI for various product experiences
• Ensure designs are accessible and responsive
• Build and maintain scalable UI components
• Support A/B test implementations
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams

• 5+ years of frontend design experience
• Exceptional design skills with a strong portfolio
• Designer-to-developer background with advanced proficiency in Figma
• Ability to create complete interfaces from high-level references
• Deep experience with design systems
• Strong proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, TailwindCSS
• Experience with UI component libraries
• Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS
• Experience with Git and version control
