Senior Frontend Engineer

Toptal is a global network of top talent in business, design, and technology, enabling companies to scale their teams on-demand. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will work on an internal monorepo application built with TypeScript, React, and GraphQL, contributing to first-class user experiences and mentoring team members.

• Design, build, and maintain outstanding, reusable, reliable, and testable TypeScript code.
• Build and maintain first-class software used by numerous businesses.
• Review the work of your colleagues.
• Continuously improve the team’s processes, brainstorm ideas, and communicate statuses and progress.
• Mentor other people and provide feedback.
• Provide suggestions to stakeholders regarding usability improvements.
• Proactively identify technical debt and suggest improvements.

• 5+ years of front-end web development experience.
• Proficiency with React, Apollo GraphQL, TypeScript, and Jest.
• Experience with Next.js and Progressive Web Apps is preferred.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus.
• Strong grasp of functional programming, clean code, and best testing practices.
