Senior Backend Engineer (Go), generative image and video, AI product

New Wave Devs is hiring a Senior Go engineer to join a Dutch AI company that builds creative tools. The role involves designing and scaling Go microservices for AI generation pipelines, working with production image and video models, and building durable workflows. The team is fast-paced and product-focused.

• Design and scale Go microservices that manage the lifecycle of AI generations: image, video, audio, 3D, vector
• Build and run generation pipelines around production image and video models, from ComfyUI workflows to hosted model APIs
• Run long, resource-heavy generation jobs as durable workflows (Temporal or similar): queues, backpressure, retries, resumable steps
• Work with AWS (EKS, S3, Lambda), Kafka and SQS for async processing, ConnectRPC / gRPC / GraphQL
• Bridge model outputs into user-facing creative workflows

• 5+ years backend, Go-first
• Hands-on work with generative image or video models: ComfyUI, Stable Diffusion, Flux, video models or similar
• Long-running jobs or durable workflows in production: Temporal, Cadence, AWS Step Functions or similar
• AWS (EKS/K8s), Kafka or SQS, gRPC/ConnectRPC, microservices at scale
• Ownership mindset, comfortable when specs are not perfect, able to switch between shipping fast and building for scale
• Real interest in the product itself
• Good English, daily work with the client team
• LLM or RAG work in production: LangChain, LangGraph, pgvector or similar (nice to have)
