Senior Platform Engineer

Grid Dynamics is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to build and evolve a modern internal developer platform using cloud-native technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, Argo CD, and Terraform. The role involves improving developer experience, automating infrastructure, and working with AI tools.

• Build and improve an internal platform used by engineering teams
• Develop GitOps-based deployment and infrastructure automation
• Work with AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) environments
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform / OpenTofu
• Work with Argo CD and modern GitOps practices
• Develop reusable CI/CD workflows and platform tooling
• Work with GitHub Actions and GitHub-based engineering workflows
• Improve developer self-service and developer experience
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes
• Use modern AI coding assistants and agentic AI workflows in daily engineering work
• Collaborate with Platform, CloudOps, DevSecOps, FinOps, and SRE teams
• Contribute to technical POCs and introduce new tools and engineering practices

• 7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or similar roles
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes / EKS
• Hands-on experience with Argo CD and GitOps
• Experience with Crossplane
• Strong Terraform / OpenTofu skills
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with GitHub Actions
• Good understanding of AWS networking: VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, Route53, etc.
• Experience with Python, Go, Bash, or another scripting language
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools in engineering work
• Proactive mindset and ability to take ownership and drive tasks from idea to completion
• English B2+
• Backstage or Port
• Argo Rollouts, Workflows, or Events
• JFrog Artifactory or similar artifact management tools
• Istio or Linkerd
• Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry
• SRE practices: SLOs, SLIs, incident management
• FinOps and cloud cost optimization experience

• You'll have an opportunity to work on a real platform engineering challenge rather than routine infrastructure support.
• The role combines cloud, Kubernetes, GitOps, developer experience, automation, and AI with room to influence technical decisions and introduce new approaches.
• You'll work with experienced engineers in an international environment and build solutions that are used by other engineering teams at scale.
• The position is fully remote, but candidates must be currently based in Ukraine.
