Front End Software Engineer II – Angular

Global Payments Inc. is looking for a Front End Software Engineer II – Angular to join its Payrix team, building and supporting a portal web application for payment processing using Angular and related technologies. The role includes mentoring, code reviews, and collaboration in an inclusive, global team.

• Working with a great engineering team to solve complex problems
• Contributing to building a scalable platform, employing engineering best practices, on top of AWS
• Collaborating to help refine our business requirements and evolve our payments platform
• Fully owning the services that you and your team are building
• Participating in team code reviews
• Mentoring less experienced team members, helping them to become successful within the team and the project
• Working with technical and non-technical people outside the team as it relates to team-owned projects/features

• 5+ years’ experience with software development, including expert knowledge of best practices, code architectural patterns and code design principles
• Solid understanding of large-scale software systems
• 3+ years of experience in development Angular based front-end development
• 2+ years of experience with ExpressJS backend Development
• Good experience with relational database systems (Postgres, MariaDB)
• Good understanding of working with REST APIs
• Very strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Clear understanding of Software Development Life Cycle stages and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to technically own the delivery of medium sized features, involving multiple people within the team
• Experience with basic cloud services for building and running cloud-native applications
• Agile development experience (bonus)
• CI/CD experience (bonus)
• Fintech or payments/banking product development experience (bonus)
