About the Position

ZONE3000 is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help improve and maintain a robust spam control tool that processes and filters around 40 million emails a day. The role involves working with top-notch technologies and approaches in a product company dedicated to online privacy and free speech.

Responsibilities

  • Research and development of email relaying and antispam solutions
  • Analyze email flow, manage email queues, mitigate abusive activity and suggest improvements for the antispam system
  • Monitoring and maintenance of systems built on on-premise Kubernetes clusters
  • Create CI / CD pipelines and scripts for processes automation
  • Write documentation

Requirements

  • Experience with email software: Postfix / Exim / Dovecot
  • Understanding of mail protocols (IMAP / POP3 / SMTP)
  • Understanding of network technologies and protocols (OSI model, NAT, DNS, IPv4 / IPv6, TCP / UDP)
  • Experience with Linux OS Debian / Ubuntu
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (KVM, Proxmox)
  • Strong knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (Puppet / Ansible / SaltStack)
  • Basic knowledge of Shell Scripting (Bash)
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with ELK / EFK / OpenSearch stack
  • Hands-on experience with Git and Confluence instruments
