Platform Engineer

Bloom & Wild is looking for a Platform Engineer to join their Technology team, which is responsible for building and maintaining solutions that power e-commerce. The role involves working on shared infrastructure and partnering with domain squads to enhance capabilities.

• Partnering with domain squads through embedded engagements, shipping code and tools to directly enhance their capability and solve real problems.
• Building shared, adoption-driven infrastructure like feature flags, canary rollouts, fast builds, and CI/CD patterns.
• Extending AI across the engineering lifecycle, including ticket generation, config authoring, incident response, and code review.
• Maintaining and evolving shared services including AWS, GitHub, Datadog, and Cloudflare.
• Aggressively automating manual processes and removing friction from the developer day-to-day.
• Coaching squads on SLOs, observability, and AI tooling so they can own their production behaviour without relying on Platform.
• Proactively identifying, scoping, and delivering high-leverage problems from month six onwards.

• Experience with AWS and Terraform
• Judgement on infrastructure shape, cost, and reliability
• CI/CD and observability experience
• Experience with AI coding tools
