About the Position

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the CLion team and help improve the embedded development experience in the IDE.
Responsibilities
- Develop CLion as a product and take part in discussions about new features.
- Improve debugger support for embedded development scenarios.
- Build integrations with debug probes, debug servers, and related tooling.
- Work on RTOS integration and RTOS-aware debugging features.
- Implement features for inspecting threads and tasks, memory, registers, and target states.
- Support remote and cross-platform debugging workflows.
- Collaborate with QA engineers and users to investigate issues and improve the product.
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial development experience in C++, Java, or Kotlin.
- Understand how debuggers work and are interested in systems-level development.
- Experience with embedded software development and debugging.
- Familiarity with GDB and/or LLDB.
- Understanding of multithreading and low-level application behavior.
- Familiarity with Unix, macOS, and Windows.
- Understanding of OOP and know how to design modular, scalable APIs.
- Ability to write automated tests.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with RTOSes, embedded targets, and firmware debugging is a plus.
- Worked with debug probes and vendor-specific embedded ecosystems is a plus.
- Experience with CMake, cross-toolchains, and the GNU Toolchain or Clang is a plus.
- Experience using Python is a plus.
- Experience with IntelliJ-based plugin development is a plus.
- Good written English skills.
