• 1+ years of professional experience in backend service development using Python / Java / C++
• Basic knowledge of computer science: data structures, multithreading basics, networking fundamentals (TCP/UDP/HTTP)
• Experience with Linux (CLI, processes, logs, basic networking tools)
• Basic skills with APIs: designing/using REST/gRPC, JSON/Protobuf
• Familiarity with at least one type of database (PostgreSQL/MySQL or Redis)
• Intermediate level technical English
• 3+ years of development and operation of production backend/infrastructure systems (preferred)
• Understanding of system reliability aspects: monitoring (logs/metrics/traces), SLO, debugging incidents, root-cause analysis
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts: consistency, idempotence, retries/timeouts, backpressure
• Performance work: profiling, optimization of latency/bandwidth, memory/CPU efficiency, stress testing
• Practical experience with typical infrastructure components: Queues/streaming messages (Kafka / RabbitMQ)
• Caching: Redis / Memcached
• Databases: PostgreSQL/MySQL, basic indexing and query tuning
• Deployment/support: Docker, CI/CD, basic acquaintance with Kubernetes or equivalent strong experience
• Experience with real-time, low-latency systems (streaming telemetry, control systems, media pipelines) is an advantage
