About the Position

We are looking for a Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a professional and experienced team supporting corporate clients of various business sizes worldwide. This role provides ample opportunities for practical experience, learning new technologies, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Administering and supporting Linux and Windows server environments (production and staging).
  • Managing on-premise and cloud servers, ensuring availability, high performance, and cybersecurity.
  • Managing cloud users, accounts, and subscriptions (access control, resource organization, cost control).
  • Monitoring system health, logs, and alerts; responding to incidents and service degradation.
  • Conducting patch management, updates, and enhancing OS security.
  • Managing user access, permissions, and basic identity services.
  • Performing and regularly checking backup and recovery procedures.
  • Participating in monitoring, alerting, and backup operations as part of the professional SRE/SysOps team.
  • Supporting disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Infrastructure teams regarding production readiness and resource status.
  • Maintaining clear operational documentation, runbooks, and standards.
  • Participating in incident reviews with root cause analysis and actionable remediation plans.
  • Interacting with security teams when compliance or security requirements impact operations.

Requirements

  • Practical experience administering Linux (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, Debian).
  • Practical experience administering Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS — a plus).
  • Experience with any technical support processes (professional or personal).
  • Understanding of networking basics (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, routing fundamentals).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking; calm and structured approach to working under pressure and time constraints.
  • English level B2 or higher (written and spoken).
  • Responsibility, reliability, and flexibility in work schedule, including possible night shifts.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and automation tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Terraform) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Experience supporting production environments with uptime and performance requirements.
  • Experience managing on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with containerization or orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Basic scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Zabbix, etc.).
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation and runbooks.
