Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Diligent, you will design and develop scalable services within our Laravel-based SaaS platform, focusing on performance, reliability, and security. This role combines hands-on development with team leadership and mentorship in a high-ownership environment.

• Design and own secure, scalable services within Laravel applications.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate coding, debugging, and testing.
• Advise on appropriate AI use and embed compliance checks into workflows.
• Scout and pilot emerging tools, integrate automated governance checks into pipelines.
• Diagnose and resolve high-impact production issues, performing root cause analysis.
• Review code, uphold engineering standards, and improve testing and CI/CD practices.
• Mentor and coach engineers, providing technical guidance.

• 5-7 years of professional software engineering experience in an agile environment.
• Deep expertise in PHP and Laravel.
• Strong experience with the TALL stack (Tailwind, Alpine.js, Laravel, Livewire).
• Advanced knowledge of relational databases (MySQL / MariaDB).
• Solid understanding of frontend/backend interactions (Vue, React, or Blade).
• Solid experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Experienced in using AI tools for coding, debugging, and testing.
