About the Position

As a QA Engineer at ABN AMRO, you ensure high quality within a full-stack DevOps team for web applications. You define test strategies, build automated frameworks, and collaborate with developers and product owners in the Daily Banking department.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive test strategy for web applications (functional & non-functional)
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks
  • Implement and execute end-to-end, integration, and regression test suites
  • Own and continuously improve E2E web automation coverage
  • Validate frontend integration with APIs and backend services
  • Ensure quality gates are met in CI/CD pipelines
  • Perform manual exploratory testing when required
  • Identify, report, and track defects with clear root-cause analysis
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams
  • Advocate for shift-left testing, quality best practices, and continuous improvement
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA capability building

Requirements

  • 5+ years of overall QA experience, including 3+ years of strong hands-on web test automation
  • Strong experience with modern web automation tools such as Playwright, TestCafe, and Cypress
  • Solid understanding of web application testing concepts (UI, client-side logic, browser behavior)
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and DevOps ways of working
  • Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
  • Hands-on experience with test case management tools (e.g. Azure Test Plans)
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Quick learner with adaptability to new tools and domains
  • Strong communication, coordination, and collaboration skills
  • Proactive, ownership-driven, and solution-oriented mindset
