Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will make data reliable, usable, and visible. You'll work on data-driven issues and the migration to a new data platform in Databricks while ensuring the quality of source data in ERP and PLM systems. You'll collaborate closely with Product Owners and users, contributing to an innovative company focused on making poultry farming more sustainable.

• Develop and maintain the data platform in Databricks and phase out the Azure data platform (Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory)
• Advise on data models, SQL queries, and analyze and improve data quality
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes
• Support the development of Power BI reports and possibly PowerApps
• Translate business information needs into concrete data solutions
• Coordinate and collaborate with Product Owners, developers, key users, and fellow developers in CI/CD processes

• HBO/WO work and thinking level in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data or comparable
• Minimum 2 years of experience with data warehousing and working with SQL and/or Python
• Knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling (star/snowflake), and affinity with data quality and master data
• Ability to work independently and effectively coordinate with stakeholders
• Clear communication skills in both Dutch and English
• Preferred: experience with Databricks, Power BI (modeling, DAX, dashboards) and CI/CD processes
