E-Commerce Engineer (Shopify Development) – DTC & Growth (m/w/d)

Wellcosan GmbH is focused on enhancing recovery tools for athletes through innovative Shopify stores. They are seeking an E-Commerce Engineer to improve performance and integrate technical solutions to optimize customer experiences.

• You take responsibility for the technical development, stability, and performance of our Shopify stores.
• You work closely with the performance marketing and brand team to translate growth hypotheses into technical solutions – from A/B tests to landing pages and conversion-optimized funnels.
• You proactively deliver new features and keep themes and apps up-to-date.
• You create Shopify apps and ensure their integration into existing Shopify stores.
• You support our team in technical SEO, ensuring a performant and search-engine-friendly foundation.

• At least 2 years of experience as a developer in a DTC or eCommerce company, ideally within an owner-operated multi-brand setup on Shopify Plus.
• Solid knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, React, CSS/PostCSS, and Shopify Plus & App Development (frontend & backend).
• Proficient in Shopify CLI, Liquid, the Theme Editor (Schema/Settings), and Shopify Theme Sync.
• Experience in developing backend functionalities in Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or similar technologies.
• Proficient with GitHub.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in German at a native level and very good English.
