Interim AI Engineer (12 months/Amsterdam)

We are looking for a freelance AI Engineer who combines hands-on experience with LLMs, Agentic AI and RAG architectures with the ability to translate business challenges into practical AI solutions. You'll play a key role in building intelligent AI agents that improve customer and employee experiences while driving real business impact.

• Designing and developing AI agents using LLM technologies
• Building prompt flows, conversation designs and RAG solutions
• Translating business requirements into scalable AI applications
• Creating and validating prototypes to demonstrate value quickly
• Ensuring secure, reliable and responsible AI implementation

• Proven experience building AI applications with LLMs
• Strong knowledge of Prompt Engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Experience developing AI agents using tools, skills and integrations
• A track record of delivering AI solutions in production environments
• Professional proficiency in English
• Experience with agent frameworks, orchestration platforms, MCP, enterprise AI environments and AI governance is considered a strong advantage.
